The Nigeria Police has hailed President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing retired Gen. Buba Marwa as the new National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Chairman.

CSP Ebere Amaraizu, National Coordinator, Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) congratulated Marwa on Thursday.

The officer, in a statement, expressed confidence that Marwa’s appointment would further strengthen the partnership between his agency and the Police.

“We are hoping to see a more robust synergy between POCACOV and NDLEA in the ongoing police nationwide campaign against substance/drug abuse and cultism as well as violence and other vices”, he said.

Amaraizu noted that Marwa had the capacity to succeed having served even as Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse (PACEDA).

The coordinator appealed to youths to shun drugs, cultism, among other vices, and discover their potentials.
